HL-Metal is a constantly evolving, Parainen-based company that has grown from a local workshop into an industry expert.

Founded in 1984, the company originally focused on maintenance and services for the cement and limestone industries. Since the 2000s, HL-Metal has strategically expanded its expertise into shipbuilding, vessel maintenance, and complex modification projects. Building on this foundation, the company has focused on the construction and maintenance of work vessels since 2015, including specialized expertise in electrical conversions.

HL-Metal directly employs 54 professionals. Through our extensive partner network, we provide employment for approximately 180 people on average.

HL-Metal head office and workshop are located on Sementtisatamantie, Parainen. In addition, we have production facilities in Norrby. Our shipyard is ideally located on the Baltic Sea coast, in close proximity to Sementtisatamantie. With it, we are also able to offer our customers a sea freight route. We also have a location in Savonlinna: HL Teknola shipyard, located at Inkilänkatu 31, 57230 Savonlinna.

Over the years, HL-Metal has done modification and repair work around the world, so we have strong expertise in project logistics.

Our turnover is in the order of €10 million.

HL-Metal is privately owned by its executive management, whose hands-on leadership ensures a personal commitment to every project.
